Indus Mortgages was founded by Biju Surendran, a finance professional who saw an opportunity to bring genuine experience and a personal touch to mortgage advice in Australia.
Biju brings years of experience in accounting, taxation and finance. Because he's navigated property and lending himself, he knows exactly what it takes to get Australians into the right loan.

Biju Surendran
Founder & Finance Specialist
With over 13 years of experience in accounting, taxation and finance, Biju brings a rare depth of knowledge to every mortgage decision. Before founding Indus Mortgages, he ran a successful accounting firm, giving him an unusually sharp eye for the numbers behind every deal.
Since 2003, Biju has built a portfolio of successful residential properties across Australia, so when he talks about property investment, he speaks from lived experience, not just theory.
Biju also brings experience from inside one of Australia's major banks, so he understands exactly how lenders assess an application from the other side of the desk.

Soumya Shine
Finance Specialist
Soumya's path to mortgage advising is anything but ordinary. She started in network engineering before moving into accounting, where she spent over a decade before bringing that analytical rigour to mortgage advice. She approaches every client conversation with a sharp eye for the detail and the numbers behind the decision.
A mother of two and actively engaged in her community, Soumya has a particular passion for first home buyers and families navigating one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives.
